Before you start
- Sign in as yourself; personal preferences cannot be changed in a read-only support session.
- Wait for your saved alert choices to load.

Follow these steps
Use Studio in your desktop browser. Labels below match the controls in the app.
In-app alerts
Under Alerts, inspect the current In-app alerts switch. Change it only if you want to change your personal preference; it saves immediately.
In-app alerts
Wait for the save to finish and check the success message. There is no separate Save button for this switch.
By alert
Inspect which alert types use each channel. The in-app channel must also be enabled above for its choices to take effect.
What you should see
The confirmed switch value controls whether your personal in-app alerts appear under the bell.
If something gets in the way
Your alert choices could not be loaded.
Use Try again in the alert choices error. Do not change preferences until the saved state is available.
The save fails or cannot be confirmed.
The switch returns to its previous value and an error appears. Follow the message; refresh before retrying an unconfirmed change.
The switch is disabled.
Wait for a pending save. If you are in a support session, exit it before changing your own preferences.
Stay in control
- The switch changes a saved personal preference immediately; do not flip it merely to demonstrate the page.
- Device notifications need separate permission. Email and text alert channels can incur charges and are outside this in-app preference task.
